Celebrate the Rich Culture of Thailand

Visit some of Thailand’s highly-rated historical landmarks, including a UNESCO World Heritage site, and take a dinner cruise.

About Your Trip

Head to the city of Bangkok and discover Thailand’s vibrant culture on both land and water. See the sprawling pavilions, courtyards and gardens of Grand Palace, once the official residence of the kings of Siam. Within this complex is the Temple of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Kaew) that houses a seated Buddha constructed from semi-precious stone. Marvel at the sacred Temple of the Reclining Buddha (Wat Pho) and the stunning architecture of Temple of Dawn (Wat Arun).

View the city by night on a dinner cruise on the Chao Phraya River where you will feast on a variety of Thai dishes as you sail past ancient and modern landmarks on the river banks.

Travel north to the Historic City of Ayutthaya, a UNESCO-protected area for its sightseeing journey into an ancient past. Explore the archaeological ruins of the Summer Palace (Bang Pa-In), the Monastery of the Great Relic (Wat Mahathat) and the Monastery in Front of the Funeral Pyre (Wat Na Phra Men). At Wat Lokaya Sutharam, take in the impressive 26-foot high (8-meter high) reclining Buddha statue, among the last remnants of a royal temple.

What we love:
• The Chao Phraya River flows for more than 225 miles (362 kilometers), passing through Bangkok on the way to the Gulf of Thailand.
• The Historic City of Ayutthaya is a designated UNESCO World Heritage site because of its importance as a political, economic and religious center hundreds of years ago.
• Thailand is well-known for its delectable cuisine, and street food is a quintessential part of the Bangkok experience.
