Approximately 10 million people visit the Gold Coast annually, drawn largely by its subtropical climate, pristine beaches, nature reserves and exciting attractions. Wildlife sanctuaries and aquariums throughout the region are home to koalas, crocodiles, kangaroos, wallabies, dolphins, dingoes, vibrantly colored birdlife and more. Anyone searching for authentic Aussie cuisine needn’t look far, as the Gold Coast offers a wide variety of iconic dishes in restaurants and cafés along picturesque waterways.

Day 1
Check into the hotel any time after 2 p.m.
2-6 p.m.: Welcome table in the lobby.
7 p.m.: Welcome dinner — an international buffet featuring seafood — at Waves Buffet Restaurant in the hotel.

6:30-7:50 a.m.: Buffet breakfast at the hotel.
8 a.m. – 5 p.m.: Full-day trip to Mount Tamborine and Lamington National Park;* includes transportation. At 8 a.m., meet your local English-speaking guide in the hotel lobby and travel to Tamborine Mountain via off-road track. Your tour includes:
• Morning tea, including fresh scones served with jam, cream, tea and coffee.
• Arts-and-crafts browsing or wine tasting at Mount Tamborine’s Gallery Walk.
• Guided rain-forest walk to a tropical waterfall.

Full-day trip to Mount Tamborine and Lamington National Park
It is recommended that guests bring:
• Sunscreen.
• A hat to protect from the sun.
• Extra bottles of water and snacks.
• A light rain coat.
• Comfortable, sturdy athletic shoes or hiking boots.
• A camera (and binoculars if desired) for viewing wildlife.

Guests interested in swimming should also bring:
• Swimwear.
• A towel.
• A change of clothes.

Please follow these tips, as outlined by Lamington National Park, on your full-day trip:
• Wear sensible footwear — boots or strong shoes.
• Wear a hat and apply sunscreen to prevent sunburn.
• If swimming, never dive or jump into the water as it may be shallow or hide submerged obstructions.
• Be prepared, even on short walks, and judge your ability and conditions carefully before setting out. Do not expect to be warned of every possible danger.
• Bring your camera and binoculars for viewing wildlife.
• Please leave all plants and animals undisturbed.
• Please do not feed the wildlife. Feeding native animals may cause poor health and sometimes death.
• Take your rubbish home. This includes all food scraps.
• Keep to walking tracks where provided, don't shortcut, and take care near cliff edges.

Airfare is not included in the trip price! The closest commercial airport to the hotel is Gold Coast Airport (OOL), approximately 12.4 miles (20 kilometers). We highly recommend that you purchase travel insurance for any trip.

Make sure to arrange your own transfers between the airport and your hotel, as they’re not included in the trip price.

Cancellation Policy: If you cancel 36 days or more before the start date of your trip, you’ll get a full refund. If you cancel within 35 days of the start date of your trip, your trip will not be refunded.

Name Change Policy: If you change any name(s) on your booking 30 days or more before the start date of your trip, you’ll be charged a fee of US$50 per name change. Name changes are not permitted within 30 days of the start date of your trip.

Welcome DreamTrip Eligibility Policy: The new member rate is available for members who book their first Welcome DreamTrip within 90 days of joining the DreamTrips community. The special new-member rate only applies to your first Welcome DreamTrip booking, and only if booked within the first 90 days of membership. Members not in that window can book a Welcome DreamTrip for the higher, existing member rate, which can be viewed in the drop-down menu. If you book your Welcome DreamTrip at the new member rate but are outside of your 90-day window of eligibility, we will email you to collect the difference between the new member rate and the member rate. You must pay the difference within 72 hours or your reservation will be canceled.

Members can’t combine DreamTrips Points. Your membership level determines the maximum amount of DreamTrips Points you can use. If you have more than 50 Rovia Bucks, you can apply them in the checkout process.

In the unfortunate event that an activity or excursion is no longer available, we will substitute a similar activity of equal or greater value.

It’s important to double check that you have all the identification and other documentation required by the specific country you’re traveling to. In many countries, passports and visas must be valid for 6 months or longer after the trip end date. If you are unable to obtain the required identification and other documentation, the Cancellation Policy for this DreamTrip will apply.
